Laura Sobrado earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2010. She is a professional artist and designer based in Washington, D.C. and works under the name “snstza” (pronounced synesthesia)—a term that refers to the blending of sensory experiences. For Laura, this means interpreting music visually, transforming sound into abstract paintings through a distinctive, data-driven creative process.

Her mission is to collaborate with clients to create paintings that reflect the emotional essence of the songs they choose. Believing in music’s power as a conduit for raw emotion, Laura uses art as a tool for healing and emotional validation, offering clients a deeply personal connection to each piece. Even if the result is simply a painting that brightens someone’s day, her goal remains the same: to create meaningful, emotionally resonant art that clients feel personally connected to—art they helped shape, understand, and truly feel.
