Net Circles Blanket Hoodie
In neuroscience, myelin is the fatty layer that insulates nerves, ensuring signals move efficiently without short-circuiting. For the neurodivergent mind, the world often feels like raw, uninsulated wire, too bright, too loud, too sharp. The Myelin is your external insulation.
Engineered as a ‘Sensory Sanctuary,’ this oversized wearable fleece is designed for the moments when you need to retreat from overstimulation. It creates an immediate, predictable micro-climate of safety. whether you are in a state of autistic burnout, managing sensory overload, or simply need to recharge your social battery.
A portable environment; when the world becomes too loud, too bright, or too fast, the Myelin creates an immediate, impenetrable fortress of silence.
Net Circles by Uta Feinstein
The Artist in Her Own Words:
My work draws on experiences of interconnectedness - personal, social, environmental, scientific, digital - and their psychological impact. I have been affected by issues of neurodiversity, because both of my children are neurodiverse and are still living at home in their early twenties. My daughter has OCD, ADD, BDD and anorexia (in remission, but she still has serious issues around protein intake for muscle building etc.). My son has had a number of issues since childhood, including ADHD and anxiety. There have been many challenging times during their adolescence. Throughout I have supported and cared for them. Art has given me a creative outlet from my own worries and helped to distract me from anxiety about my children’s future.
